A bit about me……

 

My love for organising events grew when I started a job in my hometown, Wellington.  My title…. Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. (Yes, a very long-winded title……LOL) 

 

Part of my role was organising client and staff events in Wellington and Auckland and I found that I just loved putting these together.

 

It dawned on me that I could be my own boss & do this for a living.  I backed myself, took the plunge and started Freestyle Events in October 2007.

 

In 2009, my husband David & I moved to sunny Tauranga.  I found there was a real need for quality hire gear in Tauranga at that time, so I went into the hire business too.  Combining my love of planning, styling and hiring quality items.

 

2012…….I bought The Bay of Plenty Wedding Show.  I’ve meet fantastic wedding vendors right throughout the Bay of Plenty and I’m always impressed by the passion and the innovation of these people.

 

2019….. I became a registered Marriage Celebrant. I wanted to work together with couples to make their day fun, fabulous and help them take the next step into their Happily Ever-After.

 

So, with my organisational skills, attention to detail, knowledge of suppliers and vast experience in events and weddings - you know your special day is in safe hands with me.
